Dr. Daniel R. Vig earned his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Wisconsin and completed his residency at The Ohio State University Medical Center. He began practicing in Raleigh in 1999.
Dr. Vig is a Diplomate with the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow with the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the North Carolina and Royster Medical Societies and has held several committee positions within Rex Healthcare, including chairman of the Department of Surgery. Presently, he is co-medical director of the Rex Wound Healing Center.
Dr. Vig specializes in anti-reflux surgery, colon and intestinal surgery, hernia repair and wound care.
