Dr. Seth Weinreb, a Manchester, Connecticut native, completed his undergraduate education at Yale University and earned his medical degree at Harvard University. He completed his internship and residency at Emory University in Atlanta before beginning practice in Raleigh in 2001.
Dr. Weinreb is an active member of the American Hernia Society and the Society for Vascular Ultrasound. He serves as the vice chairman of the Rex Hospital Department of Surgery, and represents the Department of Surgery on the Medical Staff Peer Review Committee at Rex Hospital. Dr. Weinreb is the director of the Multidisciplinary Tumor Board conference at the Rex Cancer Center. He is also an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Surgery at The School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Weinreb specializes in complex hernia repair, surgical oncology and single incision laparoscopic surgery. Additionally, Dr. Weinreb has a special interest in minimally invasive vein surgery and provides endovenous ablation using the VNUS ClosureFAST technique for the treatment of varicose veins.
